Jackie Yowell
Jackie Yowell’s publishing career started with Longman Green Kenya in 1968. In 1970 she came to Longman in Australia, subsequently working as editor or publisher for conglomerates and independents, including a decade each with Penguin and Allen & Unwin, and briefly, with her own imprint – Silver Gum Press. Qualified in anthropology, she has also lectured on publishing and was a founding member of the Society of Editors. She was honoured by two joint Barbara Ramsden Awards (1987,1988).
