Meet Associate Producer Elizabeth Lamb

Elizabeth Lamb (She/Her)

As a life-long bibliophile from the idyllic Blue Mountains, NSW, with an omnivorous reading appetite and passion for editing, I am excited to be joining the team at the Small Press Network for this year’s Independent Publishing Conference.

After a winding trajectory of theatre degrees, appearing in plays, writing and editing scripts and lending my voice to podcasts, I am finally settled in Melbourne and am currently undertaking a Masters of Writing and Publishing at RMIT. As bit of an old-fashioned editor, I love a hard copy to mark-up but am gradually embracing the technical revolution. In addition to study, I am also working as a freelance editor. The driving force behind my foray into the publishing world is a fervent belief in the educational benefits of passive learning and a wish to assist authors in expressing their stories and producing the highest quality work possible.

Among my favourite authors are: Cat Valente, T. Kingfisher, Terry Pratchett, Pip Williams, Ray Bradbury, and poets Pablo Neruda and Rumi. I live in northern Melbourne with my husband and our very spoiled house panther Gorgeous George.
