Sarah Deck

Sarah has more than 30 years of publishing experience, acquired in the UK as well as Australia. For 7 years, Sarah has been the Buying Manager for The Book House, a leading supplier of shelf-ready materials to Public Libraries around Australia. In her role, Sarah meets with major and independent publishers, acquires titles for clients based on their selection profiles, researches titles for specific collection needs (eg. Diversity), prepares product recommendations (eg. fast turnover Adult Fiction titles) and compiles marketing and new release information for client updates and reference. Prior to joining The Book House, Sarah worked with a range of booksellers, including Angus & Robertson and WH Smith in buying, merchandising, managing and opening new stores. Sarah’s passion for publishing equals the depth of her industry experience.
