Gene Smith is a writer and literary programmer, and Associate Director at Melbourne Writers Festival. Before joining the festival in 2018 he managed Sydney Writers’ Festival’s live stream program. He has been an assessor for Creative Victoria’s literature grants and is currently undertaking a Master of Writing and Publishing at RMIT.
